Consultation
An assessment of the lines as to whether they are static or dynamic or both is conducted. Static lines are ones that appear when the lips are at rest and can be assisted by use of skin boosters. Dynamic lines are those seen when you purse your lips can be assisted by other treatments that are used to address fine lines. This area can also be assisted by treatment of nasolabial area and marionette lines
Treatment Plan And Pain Management.
This area can be painful and it is recommended that you attend early for your appointment so that local anaesthetic cream can be applied to the area.

Treatment Process
Its best to present to the assessment without lipstick or foundations. However if you forget, we can still use cleanser to remove your makeup. The area is treated with alcohol wipes and antiseptic.

The doctor will use fine needles in this area to inject botox with anywhere from 2 – 4 injection sites for antiwrinkle. For filler they may use needles with skin booster to focus on the static lines.
Post Treatment After Care
There can be swelling and bruising. If some of the anaesthetic has got onto your lips you may experience a numb sensation over the lips.

It is recommended that you avoid exercise for 24 hours, and do not lie flat on your face at night for 24 hours.

The lower face can present with bruising. Resolution of bruises depends on how long you usually take to recover from bruising, and it is generally anywhere from a few days to 10 days. Once again this can be assisted with application of arnica or hirudoid and use of LED red light.
